I would rather believe that everyone is altruistic, but I know better.

I just think you have to make sure the folks treating you believe they can help. If I felt they were just blowing smoke, I'd never let them touch me.

In the meantime, I shall continue to see what's out there; what SEEMS to be working for people and make sure I have plenty of facts.

Hugs, my dear friend.Tequila Sepulvedahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00737033014755738460noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4012388496331587337.post-37233423223287824082011-01-03T16:47:21.293-07:002011-01-03T16:47:21.293-07:00I hear what you are saying. I also am a child of ...I hear what you are saying. I also am a child of the 50s and 60s.
As for the cancer/cold/flu thing. Well just my humble opinion but I think that there is too much money to be made from sick people to find a cure. When you consider that everyone who walks thru a doctors doors with cancer costs in excess of $60k to treat then the $$$$$ signs light up in peoples eyes.
I am not saying all doctors are like that, but the medical profession in general seems to be like it to some degree.
Also when you consider that the majority of cancer doctors who were asked if they would allow themselves or their family members to be treated with chemo/radiation, there was a resounding no. I wonder why??
Sorry to sound so cynical. It is just that I have seen an awful lot of really cool people die from cancer and it just sucks that in this day and age there is no concrete cure. I am also not holding my breath that there will be one in my lifetime. When people start treating other people like human beings and not banks then I think that maybe we might see a change.
Sorry to sound so negative, I am not normally that kind of person but this just gets on my last nerve.
Peace to you and your family today
Fay in the family roomAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
