After consulting with Dr. Fastenberg, it was decided that we'd do another round of the Camptosar and Xeloda before we do the next scan. This is fine with me because I am illogically hoping that FIVE treatments will show positive progress MUCH more than a measley four treatments. Yes, I *am* a loon.
Other than the above, there is not much new to report. I shall resume the Xeloda pills with dinner and get back to the chemo week ON routine.

Girlfriend, every little helps is what I say. Fingers crossed this round will do the trick. In the meantime just enjoy what you are doing.

I was reading up on the trial, and so far, only 30% have managed to make it through six treatments. Some could not get past two treatments, one died before the treatments began, and another died of an unrelated Pulmonary Embolism.
ReplyDeleteAs for me, I'm on number four and doing really, really well. The hands are being a little problematic today, but no other of the expected and nasty side effects.
I wish we could get back below 110 highs. I'm so tired of the heat. I don't tolerate it as well as when I was younger. :D

Girl come on up here for a couple of weeks. The weather the past couple of days after Irene has been in the high 70s. It is just heavenly.
ReplyDeleteI noticed too that I was becoming very intolerant of the heat in AZ. I didn't even enjoy it in the pool towards the end. Getting into the car was a nightmare and something that I put off most times cause it just sucked the air out of me. It is much more pleasant here, although I have never seen so much rain in my life. Then there is the snow coming again this winter I expect. Can you believe we have been here almost a year. It just feels like yesterday that we were pulling out of our driveway in Gilbert. How time flies.
I wish I could have got to meet you before I moved. I would have come to visit you, wow what a treat for you LOL. Who knows I may come back for a visit with Chris, he is talking about coming back to do some work for a week or so, you never know................
Take it easy. The weekend is almost upon us again and it is a holiday woo hoo.
