No GOOD News

The CT results are in.  Bone cancer in my left thigh and a new tumor on my left adrenal gland.  I'm going to be setting up for radiation on the thigh, probably starting after the new year.

That certainly explains the pain I've been having.  Wow, the results made Dr. F swear.  I have never heard him swear.

The radiation oncologist said if this had happened two years ago, the only thing they did was amputate the leg.  In fact, the radiation is only going to shrink the tumor so that at least I won't have so much pain.  It would be nice to sleep more than an hour at a time.

Dr. F gave me a prescription for some pain relieving patches.  I hope THEY work.

That's it for this post; I'm kind of overwhelmed, and feeling sick.

Love and hugs to all.

  1. Oh my word, Tequila. So much for you to take in. I don't know what to say, but I thought I'd say something rather than nothing. I wish I could be of use and be of help in some way...

Hugs and love seem so insufficient... but I send them anyway ((((((((Tequila))))))))))

  2. Sweetie, I am speechless. I just feel so sad for you, cause I know you are feeling sad too. There are so many dumb things I could say but you know.........they would just be dumb things.

I only wish the best for you and hope you get some relief from the patches and that the radiation makes things easier for you. Cancer just so fucking sucks the big one, I hate it with all my heart. Sorry for that but hey, it does.

I am thinking of you up here in very cold PA and wishing you only the best.
    Take it easy girlfriend.

  3. Tequila, I am at a loss for words. This is Arlene from the COPD Forum. I've read your blog on and off, and although I don't post much, today your post here today, put a huge lump in my throat, not knowing what to say. You have suffered so much, and I thought, how unfair this is for you to be battling this horrible cancer again. Please know that my thoughts and Prayers are with you. I pray that your pain becomes bearable, and that maybe a miracle will happen, and you will be helped into remission with the treatment you will be having. You are a very brave woman.
    Love and Hugs,
    Arlene

  4. Becky, Fay and Arlene:

Thank you, ladies, for your support and prayers. I cried at the oncologist's office, while he was swearing, and got it out of my system. I'm ready to continue the fight, now. And I still think a miracle can happen.

But whatever happens, just know that your love and aupport helped me hold my head high and gave me the courage to fight on.

    Love and hugs,
    Tequila

  5. Well do keep fighting, and when you need to rest and weep then feel free to rest and weep on us. We may not be tangible, but we are real and we most definitely care. Hang in there, lovely.
