However, Jane brought home a cowboy pizza from Papa Murphy's yesterday, and it was spectacular. It's the kind of place where they make it, but you have to bring it home and cook it. Yum.
I had a letter from Banner Baywood asking me how much I enjoyed the care I received during my last hospitalization. I'll be calling in my report soon. I'm still so angry with them, and yet there were definitely staff there that went out of their way to make up for what happened with the two original murderous loons. Should be an interesting conversation. :)
I posted a picture on my Facebook page of the very sweet surprise my Hospice Nurse Betty brought me yesterday. It was a wig!! I have no hair again, which is fine, really, but we had talked about wigs although I never thought to actually GET one. Well, Betty got it for me, and I am thrilled with it. The hair is straight, which is odd to me, since my real hair was massively curly, but it's still a cute wig. Makes me want more, but that would be very wasteful, and with my upcoming retirement and the expense of COBRA, I can't afford to be frivolous. :P
But the wheels of retirement planning are finally moving right along, so hopefully, we'll be there soon.
And now, love and hugs to all!
Yum, pizza! Gads, I can eat pizza every day...
ReplyDeleteNew York style, of course :). So glad you are able
to eat and enjoy food! And I am looking
forward to checking out the new hairdo :). As far as
Banner goes...they sorely need some education
on earth-based religions. Perhaps someone from
the Lady Liberty League can talk with them. They
are a group started (I think) by Circle Sanctuary
(Selena Fox) who promotes understanding and fights
for Pagan rights. Thanks to them, deceased Pagan military
members may now have a pentacle inscribed on their
headstones as markers of their faith, like many other
religious service people. Ok for now -- must tend to the
fur kids. I love you, T, and will get with you or Jane
soon on plans for a visit. Bright Blessings for you,
dear!
I thought this country fought for religious freedom. So someone a little bit different comes along and the intolerance rears its ugly head, go figure.
ReplyDeletePizza, love it. I could not find any decent pizza in AZ. Pizza here in PA is amazing, prolly because of the Italians. I get great pizza at a place called Booths corner, right around the corner from my house. It is an indoor market and they have lots of Amish stalls for meat, eggs and pizza, it is deeelish I tell ya.
Eat what you like girlfriend. I love eating, I love food in general, I love and appreciate good food and at the moment am trying to get on a healthy eating plan. Too much funky stuff going on healthwise. I need to make a change.
We have snow up here this morning, just a dusting and it looks beautiful but it is sooooo cold and I have to go out. Not looking forward to it.
